Although we spend much of our day ‘jabbing’ people, we really are friendly and welcoming at the Travel Clinic. We know that for many of you, having a vaccine is not your favorite past time and we do all we can to put you at ease during your appointment.
Our staff have completed extensive training in Travel Medicine and will provide you with the best preventative treatments and advice for traveling abroad. Available to all traveler groups including family holidays, business trips, trekkers and airline staff. We work with you to make sure you are protected and stay well whilst abroad.
Our Medical Director is Dr Green who has been involved in travel medicine for over twenty years.
Clare is our clinic manager and along side advising travellers, manages the clinic on a day to day basis. She spent several years working in Accident and Emergency as a nurse before seeing the light and discovering travel medicine. She completed the Diploma in Travel Medicine and went on to further her travel medicine training when she became the first nurse in Scotland to pass the entrance exam for admission to the Faculty of Travel Medicine. Clare is emphatic that those delivering travel medicine should be trained in the speciality – so much so that she is actively involved in travel medicine training and provision. She undertakes yellow fever training for Health Protection Scotland and is an examiner for the Faculty of Travel Medicine.
Efficiently keeps the administrative side of the clinic running and will be the first port of call for anyone that contacts the clinic. Linda comes from Zimbabwe and loves meeting the travellers that are returning to ‘her neck of the woods’.
