Clare is our clinic manager and along side advising travellers, manages the clinic on a day to day basis. She spent several years working in Accident and Emergency as a nurse before seeing the light and discovering travel medicine. She completed the Diploma in Travel Medicine back in 2006 and went on to further her travel medicine training when she became the first nurse in Scotland to pass the entrance exam for admission to the Faculty of Travel Medicine. Clare is emphatic that those delivering travel medicine should be trained in the speciality - so much so that she is actively involved in travel medicine training and provision. She undertakes yellow fever training for Health Protection Scotland, is a marker and supervisor for the Diploma and Foundation courses in Travel Medicine and and an examiner for the entrance exam to the Faculty of Travel Medicine.
Lesley is one of the travel nurse advisors. She is an experienced practice nurse that developed a love of travel medicine. She has also successfully completed the Diploma in Travel Medicine and is the calming influence that our busy clinic and stressed out last minute travellers need.
Efficiently keeps the administrative side of the clinic running and will be the first port of call for anyone that contacts the clinic. Linda comes from Zimbabwe and loves meeting the travellers that are returning to ‘her neck of the woods’.
Our Medical Director is Dr Green who has been involved in travel medicine for over twenty years.
